Michael Howard "Blacky" Baker, 40, formerly of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Dixon.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 30 in the Free Methodist Church of Neoga with the Rev. Steve Massengill officiating. Burial will be in Neoga Memorial Cemetery, Neoga. Michael was the son of Charles Baker and Vicky (Herring) Rahn. He was a former employee of the Linder-Kraft Company and the Kal-Kan Company, both of Mattoon.

Survivors include mother and stepfather, Vicky (husband Fred) Rahn of Neoga; his father, Charles Baker of Effingham; children, Rory (Blake) (wife Casey) Baker of Windsor, Shaniah Baker and Michael Baker, Jr., both of Yale; granddaughter, Brooklyn Baker of Windsor; grandmothers, Mary Herring of Neoga nad Joan Rahn of Tuscola; brother, Bubba (wife Candy) Baker of Mattoon; sister, Michelle (husband Greg) Campbell of Mattoon; nieces and nephews, Nicole Hardesty, Tiara Farris and Jordan Baker, all of Mattoon, Tyler Hardesty of Sigel and great-niece, Melanie Nation of Mattoon.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard Herring, Duane Rahn, Evelyn and Earl Baker and half-brother, Chad Cushman.
