Lorraine Margaret Stortzum, 95, of Louisville died at 8:05am Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Louisville. Visitation will be from 10 to 11am Friday at the church. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery in rural Dieterich. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Ladies Aid Group.

Lorraine was born February 25, 1922, the daughter of the late Fred and Carrie (Joergens) Brink. She was united in marriage to Otto John William Stortzum on July 19, 1941 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2012.

Lorraine was self employed as a homemaker and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was very active on the ladies aid group of the church and participated in the printing of braille bibles for the blind also through the church. Lorraine was baptized on March 26, 1922 at St. John's Lutheran and she was confirmed on May 31, 1936 at St. Matthew's.

She is survived by sons, Delmar and Donna Stortzum of Troy, IL, Maurice Stortzum of Charleston, IL, Monty and Sue Stortzum of Dieterich, IL; daughters, Loretta Stortzum of Savoy, IL, Cheryl Woods of Spring Hill, TN, Denise and Kenneth Hausman of Auburn, IL; sister, Phyllis Faye Miller of Effingham; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and 2 more great great grandchildren on the way.

Lorraine is preceded in death by son Melvin Paul Stortzum, and sister Norma Lee Burton.
