Mary Keplar, 70, of Effingham, Illinois died at 11:08 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Lakeland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 27 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with burial to follow at Union Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Mary was born September 18, 1941 in Bona, Arkansas to James and Lucille (O'Conner) Graves. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentacostal Church, Effingham. She married David Keplar in 1972 and he preceded her in death in 2001.

She is survived by a son, John (wife Kim) Proffitt of Stewardson; daughter, Charlene (husband Stanley) Mosby of Effingham; brother, Joe (wife Kay) Graves of Vandalia; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband and one sister.
