Amanda Elizabeth Prather, 31, of rural Neoga, formerly of Bloomington, died at 7:42am Friday, July 7, 2017 at her residence.

A Memorial Service for Amanda will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 14 in the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, with Pastor Irata Augsburger officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 P. M. Friday until service time. Burial will be held at a later date. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Jonathon Troy Prather Education Fund in care of John and Deborah Prather, 29 Sunset Dr., Neoga, IL 62447.

She was born March 28, 1986, in Bloomington, Illinois the daughter of John and Deborah (Kashefska) Prather. Amanda graduated from Normal West High School in 2004 and she also graduated from the McKendree University in 2008. She worked at various jobs since graduating from College. Amanda was an avid softball player all through her high school and college years and she enjoyed the mountains of Colorado.

She leaves her loving son, Jonathon Troy Prather, who she enjoyed and loved very much. Amanda also leaves her parents, John and Deborah Prather; her grandmother, Levadora Kashefska all of Neoga; four aunts, Robin Jones (Jarvis) of Bloomington, IL, Pamela Church (Craig) of Bolingbrook, IL, Melody Holt (Tim) of LaGrange, IL and Claudia Marteka (Jeff) of Davenport, IA; Uncle, Gary Kashefska of San Diego, CA; Cousins, Emily Harpenau, Jacob Harpenau (Kim, Owen), Ryleigh Hawkins, Ryonna Hawkins, Bradley Church (Sarah, Logan, Marshall), Garrett Church (Rene’, Kyla, Ethan).
