Elnora L. Budde, 93, formerly of Mason, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Louisville with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the St. John’s Lutheran 150th Anniversary Celebration Book.

Elnora was born on November 12, 1923, in Clay County, IL, the daughter of Otto and Emma (Bergman) Budde. Elnora was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Louisville. She worked at the Four Sisters Garment Factory in Flora for many years. Elnora became a self-employed beautician with her sister, Joan Cunningham. They owned Jo-El Beauty Shop in rural Mason. Elnora enjoyed doing needlework, such as embroidery and crocheting, and being with her family.

Elnora is survived by her family, Eldred (Betty) Budde of Argenta, Darrel Budde of Louisville, Joan Cunningham of Effingham, Carolyn (Howard) Hammer of Altamont, Janice Holste of Effingham, Judy (Sam) Stuemke of Altamont, and Merv Budde of Effingham; sister-in-law, Loma Budde of Louisville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bernice (Ray) Wolff; and brothers, Rufus Budde, Henry Budde, and Delmar Budde; and sister-in-law, Doris Budde.
