Phillip B. Braasch, 64, of Crittenden, KY, died at 2:03 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Grant County, KY.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2nd at Seven Hills Church in Florence, KY with visitation for one hour prior to service time. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 3 at St. Paul (ELCA) Cemetery, Altamont with Rev. Stephen Goodwin officiating. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran School, 200 Charleston Avenue, Mattoon, IL  61938. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with local arrangements.

Phillip Bernard Braasch was born on Monday, June 8, 1953 in Mattoon, IL to Bernard Benjamin and Doris Eleanor (Scott) Braasch. He was an Electrical Engineer and held his Electrical Contractors and Master Electrician Licenses in multiple states. He was a member of FOB and Seven Hills Church in Florence, where he often volunteered. Phil and his wife, Trisha also served in Maranatha Ministries for over 14 years in various cities around the country. He enjoyed watching sports, working on cars, eating popcorn and driving on road trips.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Trisha Jewel (Kirk) Braasch of Crittenden, KY; children, Melissa Braasch, Amanda Braasch, Sarah Ruth Braasch, Joshua Phillip (Allison) Braasch, Elizabeth Grace (Brandon)  Curry, and Rebekah Joy Braasch; brother, Roger Dean Braasch; grandchildren, Madeline Turner, Maxwell Curry, Liam Joshua Braasch, and two others; father and mother-in-law, Oscar and Norma Kirk, brothers-in-law, Oscar Kirk and Martin (Tonia) Kirk; sister-in-law, Kristie (Brad) Harper and several nieces and nephews.
