Louise G. (Helregel) Keller, age 95, of West Liberty, Illinois, passed away at 3:40 AM - Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM - Thursday, June 15 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, with Fr. Dean Probst celebrating mass. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ste. Marie, Illinois. Visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 PM - Wednesday at the church and 1 hour before the mass. In loving memory of Louise, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Church of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Shrine in Belleville, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Louise was born on January 3, 1922, in Ste. Marie, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Sophia (Hoffman) Helregel. She married Vincent E. Keller on July 1, 1940, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2003. Louise was a farmer’s wife and homemaker all her life. She was happiest when she was with her family on the farm. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, where she was always involved in working at the Labor Day picnic. She was a devout Catholic, who was very devoted to saying the rosary and her daily prayers. She enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal baseball and playing bingo.

Louise is survived by: Children – Betty (David) Davison of Rockton, Illinois, Margie (Ben) Mason of Sherman, Illinois, Joyce (Leonard) Decker of The Villages, Florida, Bob Keller of West Liberty, Illinois, Dianne (Richard) Purcell of Olney, Illinois, Mary Sue (Randy) Reis of West Liberty, Illinois, Sharon (Alex) Menichetti of Owanceo, Illinois and Chris (Donna) Keller of West Liberty, Illinois; Brothers – Walter (Donna) Helregel of Tuscola, Illinois and Dick (Kay) Helregel of West Liberty, Illinois; Sisters – Theresa (Delmar) Radke of Springfield, Illinois and Mary Ann (Dan) Kuenstler of Claremont, Illinois; 16 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Lawrence and Albert Helregel and a sister Clorene Ochs.
