Leah Geneva Wattles Hart (92) of Louisville, Illinois died Sunday, May 6 at 6:52 a.m. in Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville with Bro. Van McQueen officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Neal Funeral Home. Burial will be in Shouse Chapel Cemetery, rural Bible Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heritage Woods. Online condolences may be left at www.jwnealfuneralhome.net.
Leah was born January 27, 1920 in Clay County, the daughter of Leonard S. and Rena Jencie (Kenley) Devore. She married Charles 'Jake" Wattles October 1, 1938 in St. Louis, Mo. and he died April 26, 1978. She married Everett Hart in 1983 at Louisville Methodist Church and he died July 20, 1990. She was a past shoe dresser for the International Shoe Factory in Flora and Olney and a member of Louisville Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Michael (wife Diane) Wattles of Mahomet; daughters, Jane (husband Lindall) Lewis of Effingham and Donna (husband Delmar) Stortzum of Troy; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; brothers, Deon Devore and Dean Devore and sister Kathyrn Kidwell.
