Frank I. Springman, 95, of St. Elmo, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Aperion Care St. Elmo in St. Elmo.

Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) Saturday, June 3 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL. Burial will be in Saint Bonaventure Cemetery in St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Frank to the American Diabetes Association.

Frank was born on December 29, 1921, in Brownstown, IL, the son of Frank and Maude (Workman) Springman. He married Waneta Larimore on February 3, 1949 and she preceded him in death on July 25, 2008. Frank was a farmer and also had worked at Revere Copper and Brass in Clinton, IL. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in St. Elmo.

He is survived by his children, Jacinta (Mark) Savedra of Independence, MO, Ron (Susie) Springman of Clinton, and Michael (Joni) Springman of St. Elmo; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Phyllis and Iris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.
