Rosalee Walls, 90, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 8 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Effingham. Burial will be in Arborcrest Memorial Park in Effingham. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Rosalee to Centenary United Methodist Church Youth Mission Trip.

Rosalee was born on August 30, 1926, in rural Shumway, IL, the daughter of Edgar L. and Donna Melinda (Knierim) Ohnesorge. She married Albert K. Walls on May 28, 1948, and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2006. Rosalee was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed attending Effingham High School sporting events and theatre productions at Effingham High School and Effingham Junior High School. Rosalee also loved country music and dancing with her husband, Albert. Every year she attended the Effingham County Fair almost daily, having box seats to enjoy the different events. Rosalee also loved to travel, especially to visit her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rosalee is survived by her son, Robert “Bob” (Donna) Walls of Effingham; daughter-in-law, Peggy Walls of Effingham; grandchildren, Aaron (Leigh) Walls of Murfreesboro, TN, Tyler (Shannon) Walls of Greenwood, MO, Mallory (Cameron) Burry of Murray, KY, Garrett Walls of Effingham, and Nicole Walls of Effingham; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Walls and Naomi Walls; and brother, Larry (Angela) Ohnesorge of Sun City, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; son, Thomas Walls; brother, Howard Ohnesorge; and sister, Pauline Kingery.
