Wilma M. Russell, 95, of Sterling, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Regency Care of Sterling.
Graveside service will be at 9:30 AM on Monday, May 1 at Riverside Cemetery in Newton, Illinois, with Rev. Pam Hoffman officiating. A memorial has been established to Rock Falls United Methodist Church in her memory. Arrangements are under the care of McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, Illinois. Local arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Newton.

Wilma was born on September 2, 1921 in Eureka, Illinois the daughter of Lester and Freda (Bachman) Smith. She married Maurice L. Russell and he preceded her in death in 1980. She was a member of Rock Falls United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Eleanor Winfrey of Bakersfield, California and several nieces and nephews.
