Dale F. Millburg, 84, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at his home near Waggoner.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Apr. 17, at St. Marys in Farmersville. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church with Father Jerry Bunse officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin's Cemetery, Farmersville. Memorials may be made to the Farmersville/Waggoner Ambulance, Waggoner American Legion or St. Martins Cemetery. Hough Memorial Home in Farmersville is assisting the family.

He was born Dec. 24, 1932, near Farmersville, the son of Fred and Lela Boehler Millburg. He married Marge Steele on Nov. 22, 1958, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Farmersville. Dale served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from Mar 21, 1952 until Mar 20, 1956. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, in Farmersville. He spent his life as a farmer. For 54 yrs, he was a proud member of the Waggoner American Legion post 721 where he was the Chaplin. He also was a Member of the Farmersville K of C’s and the Montgomery Co Farm Bureau. Dale was a member of the ITPA and from 1980-2006 he enjoyed competing at area tractor pulls where he pulled a John Deere “D”. In 2004, he was received the Sportsmanship award.

Surviving are his wife, Marge; two sons, Kenny (Marge) Millburg of Virden and Alan (Layne) Millburg of Effingham; two daughters, Donna (Jerry) Wagahoff of Raymond and Susan (Friend Sam Tate) Goetz of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; and 7great-grandchildren; a brother, Danny (Margaret) Millburg of Waggoner; two sisters, Opal Norris and Rosella Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, a brother Howard preceded him in death.
