Angela M. Gennaro, 72, formerly of Naperville, passed away Monday evening, April 3, 2017 at her home in Effingham.

A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, April 8 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with Anglea’s cousin, Fr. Anthony Pizzo, officiating. Burial will be held in St. Anthony Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held for one hour prior services Saturday morning at the church. Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony Parish. Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family with arrangements.

Angela was born July 24, 1944 in Chicago, the daughter of Anthony and Mae (Pizzo) DiVito. She married Frank J. Gennaro on October 9, 1964 in St. Joseph, Michigan. Angela had worked in the Naperville area as a registered nurse and enjoyed helping those in her care. 

Angela is survived by her husband, Frank of Effingham; son, John (Laura) of Naperville; three daughters, Cheryl (Dr. Doug) Kabbes of Effingham, Jennifer (Chris) Kleifges and Joanna (Paul) Widauf, both of Naperville; brother, Larry (Mary) DiVito of Naperville; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Connor, Christa, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Gina, Anthony and Christopher; nephew, David (Mandi) DiVito and niece, Laura (Trevor) Harris. 

Angela was preceded in death by her parents.
