Judy M. (Feuerborn) Wallace, 70, of Effingham died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her home.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 27 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday followed by a 4:00 p.m. prayer service at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Judy to HSHS Hospice of Southern Illinois, 503. N. Maple Street, Effingham, IL 62401.

Judy was born on October 5, 1946, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Albert and Roma (Tucker) Feuerborn. She married Dave Wallace in 1968 in Effingham. After graduating from St. Anthony High School and Eastern Illinois University, Judy was a dedicated primary school teacher for 30 years in Colorado. Judy loved planning vacations for her family and friends. Through her love of traveling, Judy and Dave visited the majority of the national parks. She inherited her love of cats from her mother, enjoyed nature, and expressed her care for others in so many ways. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Judy will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her husband, Dave Wallace of Effingham; Kristen Wallace of Windsor, CA; grandson, Alex; sister, Carol McQueen of Franklin, TN; brother-in-law, James (Laura) Wallace of Pontiac; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barb Adams; in-laws, R.J. and Frann Wallace; and brother-in-law, Bill McQueen.
