Laura L. Flick, 85, of Yale, formerly of Bloomington, Indiana, died at 11:30am Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM – Friday, March 24 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with Rev. Roger Long officiating. Burial will be in the Yale Cemetery in Yale, Illinois. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service at the funeral home. In loving memory of Laura, memorials may be made to the family.

Laura was born on January 23, 1932, in Marion Center, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harold and Edna (Householder) Bhe. She graduated from Indiana High School in Indiana, Pennsylvania, in 1950. After graduation, she moved to Youngstown, Ohio, and worked at a local Drug Store. Laura moved to Bloomington, Indiana, in 1974 and met and married Clarence Flick. They were married on March 18, 1976, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 1985. In 1996, she moved to Yale, Illinois, to be closer to her daughter. Laura retired after many years of service with American Sunbelt, where she cleaned apartments. She was a long time member of the Bible Baptist Temple in Campbell, Ohio, and was a current member of Calvary Baptist Church in Newton, Illinois. Laura loved to travel, watch soap operas, play bingo and spend time with her family and friends.

Laura is survived by:  Children – Debra (Charles) Woolard of Yale, Illinois, Harold (Karen) Bhe of Youngstown, Ohio and Nila McIntyre of Olean, New York; Sister – Vivan (Bruce) Gigax of Dowagiac, Michigan; 7 Grandchildren – Michael Varner of Youngstown, Ohio, James “Jay” (Amber) Hoene of Yale, Illinois, Joe (Ashley) Hoene of Yale, Illinois, Stephanie Varner of Youngstown, Ohio, Kristina (Roger) Holt of Freelandsville, Indiana, Valerie (Steve) Elmore of Martinsville, Illinois and Elaine (Price) Hopson of Terre Haute, Indiana; 14 Great Grandchildren  - Laura, Tracy, Tyler, Daniela, Alex, Raymond “R.J.”, Tristen, Micheala, Erica, Autumn, August, Tray, Charlie and Allen.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Laura King, grandson Charles A. Woolard and a great great grandson Jaxon Riker.
