Albert J. Ruholl, 88 of Teutopolis, passed away at 8:56 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 20 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the church, with a 5:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary. The family wishes donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.

Albert was born September 16, 1928 in Teutopolis, the son of Clem and Rose (Rieman) Ruholl. He married Norma Jean Beckman on November 27, 1952 and she survives. Albert served with the United States Army during the Korean War and was a truck driver for Effingham Equity for many years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council #2874, the Teutopolis American Legion post #924 and the Effingham V.F.W. #1769.

Albert is survived by his wife, Norma Jean of Teutopolis; three sons, Keith (Marlene) of Dieterich, Kurt (Carrie) of Montrose and Jeffrey (Stacy) of Dieterich; three daughters, Marilyn (Gene) Worman of Dieterich, Joyce (Don) Schumacher of Sigel and Deb (Tony) Goldstein of Teutopolis; four brothers, Henry (Alice), Wilbert and Robert (Jane), all of Teutopolis, and James (Debbie) of Farina; three sisters, Verena Kreke and Helen Walker, both of Effingham and Mary Lou (James) Vonderheide of Stewardson; eighteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; two brothers, Norbert and Raymond; three daughters, Elsie Sur, Eleanor Koester and Rosemary Hille.
