Louise Elizabeth Collins, age 92, of Yale, IL passed away at 3:20 PM – Monday, November 5, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM – Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Cummins Church in rural Yale, IL with Ivan Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Hunt Cemetery in rural Yale, IL. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon till service time at the church. In loving memory of Louise, memorials may be made to the Cummins Church. Louise was born on February 23, 1920 in Rose Hill, IL the daughter of Edwin O. and Gladys (Gosnell) Romack. She married Maynard Collins on August 25, 1939 and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1995. Louise worked as a cook at the Rose Hill School and later worked at E.R. Moore Company in Newton. Louise was a member of the Cummins Church; Rose Hill Household Science Club and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing cards.
Louise is survived by: Children – Jerry (Loraine) Collins of Yale, IL, Linda (George) Randazzo of Bloomingdale, IL and Patrick Collins of Effingham, IL...Sister – Neva Baker of Effingham, IL...9 Grandchildren...23 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson John Michael Collins; brothers Fred, Floyd, Forrest, Melvin and Edwin Romack, Jr. and a sister Mary George.
