Audrey Ellen Miller, 88, of Beecher City, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 6:00 a.m. at Willowbrook Memory Care in Effingham.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Dr. Roger Marshall officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bob Doane Cemetery near Beecher City. Memorials may be made to the Beecher City Kluthe Center or donor’s choice.

Mrs. Miller was born February 20, 1928 in Beecher City, the daughter of Wilburn and Lotchen (McArdle) Miller. She married Robert W. Miller on February 22, 1948. They celebrated 67 years together before his passing on May 22, 2015. Audrey graduated from Beecher City High School in the Class of 1946. She became an LPN in 1962 and worked at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital and the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont in physical therapy and geriatrics, which she loved. Audrey was a member of Greenland Baptist Church near Beecher City and attended First Baptist Church in Effingham. Audrey was a talented quilter. She enjoyed making quilts for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that they will treasure for years to come. She also enjoyed taking care of people. She volunteered at the Kluthe Center and as a couple, Robert and Audrey volunteered in the visitor center at “The Cross” near Effingham.

Surviving are two daughters: Cheryl (Jim) Reed and Janey (Steve) Summers both of Beecher City; son Bruce (Sandra) Miller of Beecher City; seven grandchildren Kevin (Rachel) Reed of Beecher City, Ashley (Mum Monson) Reed of Carrolton, TX, Aaron (Jamie) Summers of Beecher City, Jon (Amy) Summers of Shelbyville, Ryan Summers of Beecher City, Haley (Justin) Wilhour of Altamont and Austin (Katie) Miller of Beecher City; ten great-grandchildren Dylan Reed, Elizabeth Reed, Jarret Summers, Marissa Summers, Audrey Summers, Grant Summers, Onna Wilhour, Graidon Wilhour, Paylin Wilhour and Brantly Wilhour; sister Betty (Raymond) Lorton of Beecher City.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three brothers Dean, Roland and Keith Miller.
