Isabelle Bloemker, 95, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Evergreen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 8 at the First Presbyterian Church in Effingham. Burial will be in Arborcrest Memorial Park in Effingham. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Isabelle to the charity of choice.

Isabelle was born on November 27, 1921, in Watson, IL, the daughter of Walter and Irene (Poe) Percival. She married Henry Bloemker in 1942 in Henderson, KY, and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2004. As a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Effingham, Isabelle served as a deacon and elder many times over the years. She was a dedicated homemaker and devoted her time to her three daughters. As her daughters grew up, she shifted her attention to her grandchildren. Her spunky wit and infectious smile touched everyone she knew and created many wonderful memories. She was a kind, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She retired from GC Murphy’s as an office manager after working there for many years.

Isabelle is survived by her daughters, Joyce (William) Heath of Decatur, Sandy (Terry) Stevenson of Effingham, and Kathy (Bill) Schmidt of Effingham; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Vernon Percival of Dallas, TX and Gene Percival of Farr, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 infant grandchild; 1 infant great-grandchild, and 1 infant great-great grandchild.
