William L. Field, 84, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham.
According to William’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services held. Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham is assisting the family.

William was born on March 6, 1932, in Effingham, IL, the son of Frank and Cleo (Mills) Field. He married Dorothy R. Bussman and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2002.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary L. Field (husband, Christopher Godkin) of Lake Villa, IL; and granddaughter, Paisley Savannah Elizabeth Phillippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and daughter, Susan E. Vesely.
