Shirley T. (Gentry) Cisney, 75, of Newton, formerly of Greenup died at 9:50pm Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at the 10:00 AM – Thursday, January 26 at the Jewett Community Church in Jewett, Illinois, with Virgil Cisney and Pastor Irvin Figgins officiating.  Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery in Greenup, Illinois. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Wednesday, January 25 at the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Jewett Community Church.

Shirley was born on November 15, 1940, in Jewett, Illinois, the daughter of Glenn and Verna (Kingery) Gentry. She married George Livesay in September 1957, and later married Wilmer “Bill” Easton on March 9, 1975, and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2008. She married James “Jim” Cisney on May 30, 2009, and he survives. Shirley was a farmer’s wife, homemaker and had worked as a real estate agent in Florida. She had also worked at Consolidate Communication. Shirley was a member of the Jewett Community Church. She enjoyed being outdoors taking care of her yard and flowers. She also enjoyed reading, working puzzles, motorcycle riding and traveling.

Shirley is survived by:  Husband of 7 years – Jim Cisney of Newton, Illinois; Children – Georgiana (Arthur) Kline of Beecher City, Illinois; Shirlene Plante of Newton, Illinois; Stephanie (Dean) Ervin of Newton, Illinois; Chris (Garry) Birch of Lawrenceville, Illinois; Cheryl (Tim) Walters of Jewett, Illinois; Kevin (Kelly) Cisney of Gate City, Virginia; Wilbur Easton of New Lennox, Illinois; Bob Easton Coffeyville, Mississippi and Ben Easton of Charleston, Illinois; Grandchildren – Derrick (Tiffany) Kline, Annika Kline, Brandi (Bob) Davis, Curtis Kline, Devon (Shelia) Plante, Whitney (Ryan) Deviney, Mandy Barnes, Levi Barnes, Cole Walters, Conner (Nicole) Walters, Jill Frey, Heather York, Traci Hosler, Tori Matthews, Jennifer (Matt) Jackson, J.R. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, husband Bill, brothers Ralph, Donald, Bob and Carl Gentry and a sister Dorothy Hannah.
