Dolores G. (Guyon) Kingery, 74, of Teutopolis entered her heavenly home on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. parish rosary at Johnson’s Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL. On Friday, December 30 at 9:30 a.m. a visitation will be held in St. Clare Hall at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Teutopolis with the funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Dolores to Effingham County Right to Life, Effingham Family Life Center, Catholic Charities, or HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.

Dolores was born in Effingham on March 23, 1942, the daughter of Clarence and Helen (Hoelscher) Guyon. Dolores married John F. Kingery on October 28, 1961, at Sacred Heart Church in Effingham. They had nine children whom she loved dearly: Michael, James, Anita, Angela, Gerard, Steven, Thomas, Maria, and Lawrence. During her life, Dolores was a wife, mother, business owner, and homemaker. Dolores graduated in 1960 from Teutopolis High School and later from Sparks Business College in Shelbyville. She married her high school sweetheart, John Kingery, 55 years ago in 1961. In October 1968, Dolores and John founded Kingery Printing Company, and she was the rock behind the business. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Teutopolis and volunteered as a religion instructor there for years. She also volunteered at Effingham County Right to Life, Effingham Family Life Center, Perpetual Adoration at St. Anthony’s Hospital Chapel, St. Anthony’s Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of the Effingham Area De Colores group.

Dolores is survived by her husband; sons Michael C. (Amy Jo Phelps) Kingery of Effingham, James M. (Joshua Murphy) Kingery of St. Louis, MO, Gerard J. (Amy Krietemeyer) Kingery of Teutopolis, Steven J. (Michelle Koester) Kingery of Salem, Thomas A. (Maria Pals) Kingery of Teutopolis, Lawrence V. (friend, Karol Jennings) Kingery of Snohomish, WA; daughters Anita K. (Robert) McKerrow of Teutopolis, Angela M. (Leroy) Helmuth of Stewardson, and Maria D. (fiancé, Matt Ruholl) Kingery of Teutopolis; grandchildren, Danielle (Jon) Sager of Elmwood, Rebecca Kingery (fiancé, Jake Bouldin) of Chatham, Rachel Kingery (friend, Alec Herzog) of Effingham, Kyle (Britney White) Helmuth of Sigel, Brandon Helmuth of Stewardson, Trenton Kingery (friend, Radhika Yadav) of Chicago, Cassidy Kingery of Teutopolis, Jonathan Kingery and Elizabeth Kingery both of Salem, Hannah, Ali, Samuel, Katie, Carly, and Lauren Kingery all of Teutopolis, and Joseph Kingery of Teutopolis; great-grandchild, Lilliana Sager of Elmwood; brother, Clarence “Sonny” (Geri) Guyon of Sparks, NV; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen Guyon; brother, Donald Broom; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marshall and Rena Kingery; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
