Ruth Anne Wetherholt (75) of Wheeler

Ruth Anne Wetherholt, 75, of Wheeler, Illinois, passed away at 12:50 PM - Saturday, December 10, 2016, at her home.

Services celebrating Ruth’s life will be held at 10:00 AM – Wednesday, December 14 at the Latona Church of Christ in Latona, Illinois, with Nate Hagen officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery west of Latona, Illinois. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Latona Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Ruth was born on February 14, 1941, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Clifford and Evelyn (Marshall) Shadle. She married Allen Dale Wetherholt on February 10, 1961, in Dieterich, Illinois. Ruth worked at E.R. Moore in Newton for several years and later at Wal-Mart in Effingham and the Newton IGA. She was a member of the Latona Church of Christ and enjoyed crafts and quilting.

Ruth is survived by: Husband of 55 years – Allen Wetherholt of Wheeler, Illinois...Children – Tom (Lisa) Wetherholt of Wheeler, Illinois, Scott (Lisa) Wetherholt of Newton, Illinois, Lori (Todd) Marshall of Wheeler, Illinois...Brother – Dean (Pauline) Shadle of Ingraham, Illinois...Sister-in-law – Beulah Shadle of Ingraham, Illinois...9 Grandchildren...and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Amy Alice Wetherholt, great grandson Jonathan Eldon Scott Stuckey and a brother Gerald Shadle.
