June Mitchell, 93, of Effingham, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Brookstone Suites of Effingham.
According to June’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services will be held. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.

June was born on June 17, 1923, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Louis and Alma (Boggs) Hastings. June enjoyed genealogy as well as playing cards, more specifically, pinochle.
June is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Dahmm of Bloomington; sister, Viola Warren of Effingham; 7 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Thomas Adermann, Janet Green, and Charles Adermann; and three brothers, William Hastings, Louis Hastings, and James Hastings.
