Patricia R. Siddens, 80, of Mason, died at 3:35 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.
 
 
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Clare Catholic Church, Altamont with Fr. Marek Kasperczuk officiating. Burial will follow at St. Clare Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday at St. Clare Catholic Church with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Clare Catholic Church or Meals-on-Wheels (Altamont location). Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements. 
 
 
Patricia Rebecca ‘Pat’ Siddens was born on Monday, May 4, 1936 in Teutopolis to Allie and Bertha (Westendorf) Thoele. She married Donald D. Siddens on January 16, 1960 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis, and he preceded her in death on August 4, 2012. Pat was a homemaker and assisted on the family dairy farm. She was a member and active in many capacities at St. Clare Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. She was a volunteer with Meals-on-Wheels and at Lutheran Care Center. She was the catcher and MVP of the 1964 Effingham County Farm Bureau Women’s Softball team that won the state championship.
 
 
She is survived by her children; Tony (Karen) Siddens of Mason, Randy (Julie) Siddens of Fort Collins, CO, Becky (Larry) Doty of Beecher City, Cindy (Brian) Engel of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Lori (Ed) Niemerg of Bishop Creek, Holly (Brian) DeJong of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Nick (Kristianna) Siddens of Astoria, South Dakota, brother, Robert Thoele of Teutopolis, sisters, Rosie (Art) Brumleve and Betty Buenker of Teutopolis, 25 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. 
 
 
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Thoele and twin brother, Patrick Thoele
