Lorraine P. Stuckemeyer, 80, of Effingham, IL, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday,
May 2, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, surrounded by her family.

Celebration of life services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Johnson
Funeral Home, Effingham, with the Rev. Theodore Gall officiating.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Effingham.  Memorials may be made to E.A.R.S. Lorraine was born on July 20, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Henry and Irene
(Michaels) Barred. She married Lawrence A. Stuckemeyer on April 11, 1949 in Chicago,
IL. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2010.  Lorraine spent her life as an extraordinarily, dedicated loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent many of her earlier years raising her children and helping her husband operate a construction company in Northern Wisconsin.  She later helped raise all of her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed mushroom and ginseng hunting. She was an inspiration to all of those who were lucky enough to be blessed with her presence and golden heart. Lorraine’s faith in God was strong and unending.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Larry (Mickee) Stuckemeyer of Eagle River, WI, James Stuckemeyer of Effingham, Robert (Karla) Stuckemeyer of Shumway, Lynn (Michael) Silber of Three Lakes, WI, Cheri Stuckemeyer of Effingham, Cindy (David) Lohman of Effingham; sister, Ruthie of Genoa City, WI; brother, James (Della) Barred of Twin Lakes, WI; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; infant son, Bobby; 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.
