Leora Williams, 85, of Effingham died at 7:45pm Friday, August 19, 2016 at Lavender Ridge in Effingham.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24 at the First Presbyterian Church, Effingham with Rev. Pam Laing officiating. Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park, Effingham. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont and for 30 minutes prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org or the donor’s choice.

Leora was born on Wednesday, March 25, 1931 in rural Mason to Ernest and Mabel (Siebert) Beccue. She married Ferris Dale Williams on October 13, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2013. She was retired from Peerless of America in Effingham. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Effingham. She was an avid golfer and had a hole-in-one at the Cardinal Golf Course, Effingham and a hole-in-one at her son’s golf course in Cedar Crest, Skiatook, OK.

She is survived by; sons, Roger Williams and his wife Kathy of Reno, NV and Kevin Williams and his wife Becky of Watson; sisters, Ruby Eaton of Champaign, Nelda (Jim) Thompson of Ohio, and Linda Cox of Decatur, AL; brother, Art Beccue of Mason; grandson, Kevin Williams, Jr; sisters-in-law, Imogene Williams of Mason and Linda Beccue of Edgewood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Frank Beccue, Robert Beccue and Ernest Beccue, Jr; sisters, Betty Kuhns, Dorothy Fischer, Irene Winchester and Eleanor Barksdale.
