Jerry Max McKinney, age 80, of rural Dieterich, IL and former resident of Mattoon, IL passed away at 10:30 PM – Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at his home.
Funeral services celebrating Jerry’s life will be held at 12:00 Noon – Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Headyville Christian Church in Dieterich, IL with Bro. Carroll Ross officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Mattoon, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the services in the church. In loving memory of Jerry, memorials may be made to the Feed the Children P.O. Box 36 Oklahoma City, OK 73101-0036. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, IL. Jerry was born on October 11, 1931 in Jasper County, IL the son of Fred and Hazel (Chesnut) McKinney. He married Virginia Lewis on November 17, 1950 in Dieterich. Jerry retired from General Electric in Mattoon after 38 years of service.
