Ronald Howard Goldsborough, 84, of North Ft. Myers, Florida, and Brownstown died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Cape Coral Hospital after a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at Liberty Christian Church, rural Brownstown with Rev. John Heicher officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery with military rites provided by VFW Post 9770 of Brownstown. Visitation will begin at Noon with a Masonic service by the Argenta Masonic Lodge #871. Memorials may be made to the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation. Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with local arrangements.

 He was born on Wednesday, February 3, 1932 in Brownstown, IL to the late Harold and Bernadine Goldsborough. Ronald was a retired flight engineer with the United States Air Force. His 20 years of service included tours in Vietnam. After his service in the Air Force, he worked an additional 20+ years with Caterpillar. Ronald was a Master Mason at the Grand Lodge for 52 years and was a member of Argenta Masonic Lodge #871. He was also a Worthy Patron ten times in Order of the Eastern Star, Royal Patron three times in Order of the Amaranth, and Grand Royal Patron in 1995 for the Order of the Amaranth.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 42+ years Icylene Goldsborough; his sons Mark Alan (Theresa) Goldsborough of Brownstown, IL; his sister Eleanor Belcher of Greencastle, IN, seven grandchildren, Danielle (Bradley), Jacob (Megan), Gabriel, Jason (Carrie), Ryan (Amanda), Cindy and Melissa. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Aireal, Kyle, Sara, Mark, Natalie, Carley, Styler, Charles James, Bryce, Arabella, Harper, Gavin and Kamryn.

He was preceded in death by his parents...two children, Leeanne Dilley and Jerry Burgess...and grandson, Jeremy Watson.
