Mrs. Mauvie L. Lenhart, 89, of Charleston, Illinois passed away at  5:20 A.M. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in the Mattoon Health Care Center of Mattoon, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 19 in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Mattoon, IL with Rev. Steve Massengill of Neoga officiating. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Charleston Bible Church - 2605 University Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.

Mauvie was born November 21, 1926 in Oakland, Illinois, the daughter of Leslie and Tressie (Green) Swinford. She married Daniel E, Lenhart, Jr on February  8, 1943, in St. Charles, Missouri. Mauvie was a housewife, a homemaker, and she retired from the Moore Business of Charleston, IL after 27 years.

Mrs. Lenhart leaves her husband, Daniel E. Lenhart of Charleston, IL; one son, Daniel E. Lenhart, III and wife Janet K.  of Charleston, IL; two daughters, Carolyn L. Hillis and Marlene L. Rankin, both of Charleston, IL: one brother, Melvin Swinford of Chicago, IL; five sisters, Mona Parker of Los Angles, CA, Wanda Coffey of Ashmore, IL, Marie McGlothlin and husband Ken of West Virginia, Madonna Coffey and husband Bill of Ashmore, IL and Farie Hilderbrand of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, Daniel E. Lenhart IV, Lisa Rankin, Jimmy Rankin, Angie Rankin, Bobby Hillis, and Kandi Hillis; two great grandchildren, Derek Rankin and Carson Hillis.

Mrs. Lenhart was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Myron Swinford; one sister, Mildred Struska.
