Barbara Vogt (72) of Effingham

Barbara Vogt, 72, of Effingham, IL, passed away at 7:02 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2016, at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Barbara to the American Diabetes Association.

Barbara was born on October 6, 1943, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Dominic and Audrey (Greinke) Daniels. She married Bernard Vogt on October 7, 2006 in Effingham, and he survives. Barbara loved her grandchildren and her little dog “Buddy.”

Barbara is survived by her husband, Bernard Vogt of Effingham; daughter, Beverly (husband, Daren) Holste and grandchildren, Allyson Holste and John Holste, all of Dieterich; sister, Patricia (husband, Jack) Hunter of Siren, WI; niece, Gina Fitzgerald; and nephews, Michael Tokushige and Tony Potempa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Darlene Tokushige.
