Delia Mae Dittamore, 97, of Effingham, formerly of Montrose, died at 9:20pm Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Brookstone Suites in Effingham.

Graveside services will be held at 11am Wednesday, April 6 at Mullen Cemetery near Montrose. Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family. Memorials to Mullen Baptist Church.

Delia was born on April 8, 1918 in Cumberland County, the daughter of William and Ethel (Phillips) Brussell. She married William “Bill” Dittamore on June 8, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1998.

Surviving are sons Steve (JoAnn) Dittamore of Montrose and Mike (Linda) Dittamore of Neoga; sister Norma Hough of California, fourteen grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Kent Dittamore, daughter Linda Lewis, brothers Bill, Glenn and Sylvan Bud Brussell, sister Maurine Brussell and three great grandchildren.

Delia was a homemaker and a member of the Mullen Baptist Church. Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Brookstone Suites on Temple Ave. for the care and support they provided to their mother over the last 12 ½ years.
