Tommy H. Watts, 86, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 10 at Fourth Street Church of Christ, 1311 S. Fourth Street, Effingham, with Curtis L.E. Graves officiating. Burial will be in Beecher City Cemetery, Beecher City. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday prior to services at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Tommy to Fourth Street Church of Christ.

Tommy was born on July 15, 1929, in Seminole, OK, the son of John and Lillie Mae (Neill) Watts. He married Dolores “Lori” McCosh at a family home in Beecher City, IL, on July 2, 1950, and to this union they had five children. Tommy devoted his life to the Lord by being a teacher and preacher. He enjoyed being a member of the Fourth Street Church of Christ. Tommy was blessed with many opportunities, from being a welder in his earlier years to a truck driver later on in life. He retired from Transcon on January 1, 1990. He enjoyed spending time with family, nieces and nephews, and other loved ones. Tommy had a passion for cars and loved to play board games. Most importantly, he adored the love of his life, Lori.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lori Watts of Effingham; children, Rhonda Conner of Effingham, Jeff Watts of Wilmington, NC, and Greg Watts of Effingham; grandchildren, Angie Harris, Lance Fuell, Justin Watts, Cody Watts, Zachary Watts, Elizabeth Watts, Savanna Watts, Cruz Watts, Teryn Beckler, Libby Watts, and Baylee Watts; great-grandchildren, Kara Harris, Caitlin Harris, Devlin Watts, Fallyn Watts, and Emmitt Noffke; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Irene Carlson; daughter, Connie Fuell; son, Mike Watts; and grandson, Brandon Conner.
