Marion Earl "Buddy" Brimberry, age 93, of Cape Girardeau, Mo, formerly of Alma, IL, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 8:02 am at his daughter's home in Cape Girardeau.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy. Graveside services will be held at Alma Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 1. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Services will begin directly at the cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by the United States Air Force Honor Guard out of Scott Air Force Base as well as by the Kinmundy American Legion Post 519. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stodard County Development Foundation (SCDF) - Honor Tour, P.O. Box 625, Bloomfield, MO 63825, and will also be received at the funeral home.

 Buddy was born June 3, 1922, in Kinmundy, Illinois the son of Arthur F. and Daisy B. (Keen) Brimberry. He married Lillian Ruth Harris on December 11, 1951 in Corinth, MS. He was employed in with the United States government first by serving in the United States Army in World War II, and then in the United States Air Force for more than 27 years, which he later retired from. He also was employed by the Kinmundy/Alma schools doing various jobs. Buddy was a 32nd degree Mason of the Kinmundy Masonic Lodge #398.

Buddy is survived by his daughter, Kathy Jane Fitzpatrick of Cape Girardeau, MO; sisters, Helen Williams of Oklahoma and Maxine Todd of Salem, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Norman and Joe Brimberry, sisters Stella Chance, Marie Lambert, Katherine Elliothorpe, Flora Belle Lee, and Thelma Donoho.
