Corda Ellen Page, 99, Cowden, IL, formerly of Decatur, IL. passed away at 11:03 AM Wednesday April 18, 2012 in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Corda was born Dec. 1, 1912 in Shelby County the daughter of William A. and Minnie May Brown Wall.  She married Frank Virgil Page on Mar. 3, 1934 and he passed away December of 1998.  Corda was a 1932 graduate of Cowden High School and soon thereafter, studied nursing in Kankakee. Later, she and her husband Frank operated a grocery store in Benton, IL.  She then worked as a secretary at a Montgomery Ward Store and the Zenith Corporation both in Chicago, IL. After retirement, Corda and Frank were involved in social work and
together supervised a half way home in Decatur.  Corda was a member of the Senior Citizens Club in Cowden and was affiliated with Mound Free Methodist Church in Decatur. She loved to work in her garden.

Corda is survived by her sister Lois Dunaway of Cowden and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, parents, brothers: Albert Wall, Vernie Wall, Alfred Wall, Roy Wall and Richard Wall in infancy; sisters: Goldie Smith, Minnie Watson and Viola Crutchfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday April 21, 2012 in Lockart- Green Funeral Home in Cowden. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM later that day (Saturday April 21st) at Graceland- Fairlawn Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
