Henry Lionel Utley, age 52 of Newton, IL passed away at 4:30 AM Thursday, March 27, 2014 at St Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL. 
Services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 AM - Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Bro. Brad Harper officiating.  Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery 
in Newton, IL with full military rites.  Visitation will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the family.   The obituary

Henry Lionel Utley was born on November 30, 1961 in Las Cruces, New Mexico the son of Jackie Dean and Janie (Icke) Utley.  After the passing of his father his mother married Ed Shelly who raised 
Henry and his sibling as his own.  He married the love of his life Cheryl Gates on August 3, 1996. He served his country in the United States Army from June 1987 till June 1990.  Henry enjoyed hunting, 
fishing, camping, motorcycles and was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers fan.  Henry was a volunteer firefighter with the Wade Community Fire Protection District and an EMT.  He was currently employed as a truck driver with ITS Trucking Company.  Henry was a member of the Newton Christian Church. Henry was very proud of their two sons, Piers and Justin and loved being a Grandpa.  
He is survived by- Wife of 17 years - Cheryl Utley of Newton, IL Mother - Janie Utley Shelly of Newton, IL Sons - Piers A. (Brittany) Neal of Newton, IL and Justin M. Neal of Newton, IL Grandchildren - Taylor L. Neal, Michael G. Neal and Allie J. Neal Foster son - Christian Schreier of Edgewood, IL Mother-in-law - Anna Mae Gates of Martinsville, IL 2 Sister-in-laws - Linda M Utley of Robinson, IL and Bonnie (Larry) Foppe of Trenton, IL 15 Nieces and 15 Nephews and many loving friends.
Henry was preceded in death by his father Jackie Dean Utley, dad Ed Shelly, Father-in-law Robert J. Gates, sister Georgie E. Utley and brother James D. Utley.
