Harold Dean Starwalt (80) of Neoga

Harold Dean Starwalt, 80, of Neoga, Illinois, passed at 9:06 A. M. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Harold was born September 14, 1933, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Hazel (Beals) Starwalt. He married Evelyn Louise "Lynn" Eastman on November 16, 1998, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Harold was a very active person and he enjoyed helping people. He was a member of The Good Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Trilla, IL, he retired from the Blaw - Knox Company of Mattoon, IL, after 40 years, he was also president of local U. A. W. #916, a former member of the Neoga City Council, a member of the Harley Owners Group (H. O. G.) , The Central IL Effingham Chapter, National Trail Toy Club and a member of the Neoga Fire Department for over fifty years. Harold was also a former E. M. T., he helped the funeral home with the ambulance and also with funerals for several years.
Harold leaves his wife, Lynn Starwalt of Neoga, IL; two sons, Terry J. Starwalt and wife Mary of St. Louis, MO and Kent D. Starwalt and wife Lisa of Franklin, TN; three daughters Deana L. Bahl and husband Fred of Dundas, IL, Donna L. Rennier of Olney, IL and Mary A. Williams and Joe Dinardo of Springfield, IL; one step-son, Gary Sarff of Draper, UT, and one step-daughter, Christi C. J. Sarff of Springfield, IL; one brother, Eugene Starwalt and wife Thelma of rural Mattoon, IL; seven grandchildren, Jeremiah Bahl and wife Jessica, Ashley Bahl, Eric Rennier and wife Chandra, Jason Rennier and wife Kelly, Rebecca Jones and husband Mike, Jessica Williams and Logan Starwalt and four great grandchildren, Madison and Elizabeth Bahl, Bryn Rennier and Aidan Rennier with another one, due August of 2014. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Eileen Croy brother-in- law, Harold Croy and one step-daughter, Dianna L. Sarff.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, March 22, 2014, in the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, with Rev. James Maroon officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. Friday, March 21, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Janesville Cemetery of Janesville, IL.
