Community Calendar

The 2015 IHSRA Rodeo State Finals will be held Thursday, June 18 through Saturday, June 20 at the Effingham County Fairgrounds in Altamont. Today's events include:

12:30 p.m. -- Special Kids Rodeo. Kids with special needs from around the area can come out and learn to rope and ride with the IHSRA contestants.

7 p.m. -- Rodeo Competition (Team Shirt night) Enjoy Bull & Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Barrell Racing, Roping events and more.

8 p.m. -- Kids Event (Mutton Bustin') will take place in the arena with little buckaroos from 5-7 years of age. Kids accompanied by a parent, can sign up from 5-6 p.m. for a chance at the mutton bustin' at rodeo office.
