On Thursday, February 12 at 6 p. m. professional photographer Kate Key will lead a Basics of Instagram Class at the Helen Matthes Library. Key will introduce us to this popular photo and video sharing app and explain how it is used. This is a great program for parents who are wondering what Instagram is and how their children interact with it! The Library will also host Key's two part DSLR Photography Series focusing on taking great digital pictures on Thursday, February 19 at 6 p. m. and Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6 p. m. In Photography 101 Part A, on February 19, Kate Key will teach us basic picture-taking concepts to use with a DSLR camera. Photography 101 Part B on February 26 will be a continuation of materials covered in Photography 101 A. Topics to be covered throughout both programs include composition/light, ISO, shutter speed and aperture/F-stop. Please note: these programs will not cover where to change these settings on your camera.
