The Jasper County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources will be sponsoring a Pond Management Demonstration at Roger Kinder's pond on Tuesday, August 13 at 5:00pm.
The pond is located in Wade Township and directions from Newton are: Located approximately 5 miles north on Route 130, Turn right (East) at 1400N (Falmouth Rd) go approx 1/4 mile, turn left, (North) at 1275E go approx 3/4 mile to pond site. Follow the signs to the Pond Management Demonstration site.
A fisheries Biologist with IDNR, will be on hand to shock and collect a sample of the fish in the pond. The Jasper County Soil and Water Conservation District will provide drinks and sandwiches. Please bring your own lawn chairs.
RSVP to the District office at 783-2319 ext 3 by Friday, August 9 if you plan to attend the Pond Management Demonstration.
