Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1769 of Effingham will host a Dinner Friday, May 17 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Effingham VFW. This is for Project Linus, all proceeds will go for batting, fabric and blanket making supplies. There also will be a quilt raffle and cafe raffles. Meals can be eaten there or fixed to go. Cost per meal is $6 which includes meal, dessert and drink. The menu includes pork tenderloin, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans with bacon, deviled eggs, pickled beets, bread and butter, desserts, coffee, tea or lemonade.
