The American Legion Family will be conducting the annual State Membership Caravan from January 13-22. During this timeframe, the Caravan will make some 19 stops throughout all 5 Divisions in the Department of Illinois.
This year’s caravan will be special for two reasons; it is The American Legion’s 103rd Year celebration, and our guest speaker will be the National Vice Commander Jerrold Wilson who will be updating us on The American Legion family and Issues that may affect our Organization.
Everyone is welcome to visit at any of the stops, take advantage of this opportunity to meet and greet with our Special Guest.
Local stops include:
Friday, January 21: 6:00 p.m. Dinner at Flora Post 14
Saturday, January 22: 8:00 a.m. Breakfast at Effingham Post 120 and Noon Lunch at Toledo Post 764
If you plan on attending a meal, you need to RSVP the host post. More info at www.illegion.org
The purpose of this Statewide caravan is to boost membership. Membership is the “Life Blood” of any organization. Without it, we could not continue to fund the many excellent programs that The American Legion sponsors on a daily basis for Veterans and their dependents.
