The Helen Matthes Library is pleased to introduce the fifth year of the Adult Winter Reading Program. This year’s theme is entitled “Awaken Your Senses” and with the cold, dreary months ahead, the goal of this program is to provide fun opportunities to engage in reading and learning.

Participants can sign up for the program at the library beginning Tuesday, January 22 and are encouraged to undertake up to five tasks or activities which can be selected from a list in the participant’s reading log. A reward is earned for each task
completed. Local businesses donating rewards for completing an activity or task include Burkland’s Flower Shop, The Downtown Popcorn Company, The Last Straw, and Starbucks.Participants who complete five tasks successfully will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Sony eReader.
