The Effingham Park District Thanksgiving Turkey trot 5K and Fun Walk will be held, for the first time ever, at the TREC Trail. The run will be held Sunday, November 11 at 1 p.m. Registration begins at noon in the Effingham Performance Center parking lot. The 5K will begin at 1 p.m. starting and finishing in the performance center parking lot.
Drawings and giveaways will take place at the conclusion of the run. After the drawings have been completed, the "Fun Walk" will begin. Prizes will be awarded to the first place male and female finishers in each age division. Age divisions for male and female are 13 & under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over. No fee to participate in the 5K or Fun Walk.
