Community Calendar

 Please join the Southeastern Illinois Chapter of The Compassionate Friends for a special candle lighting service. Compassionate Friends is a self-help group for those who have lost a child. Our local event will begin at 6:45pm on Sunday, December 9th at the St. Thomas Parish Center, 306 W. Jourdan St. in Newton. 
The evening will consist of readings, special music, a DVD of our children, and the candle lighting. The program will last around an hour. Lite refreshments will be served after the program. Feel free to bring a picture or remembrance for each child. This event is open to the public and everyone in the AREA is welcome.
