New Exhibit at Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum

As part of the Illinois Bicentennial Celebration, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum has created a new exhibit about the four presidents who called Illinois their home. It opens Friday morning.

WHAT: Ribbon-cutting on new exhibit and tour for members of the news media

WHO:

  • Alan Lowe, executive director of the Lincoln Presidential Library
  • Samuel Wheeler, the state historian
  • Stuart Layne, executive director of the Illinois Bicentennial Commission
  • Brian Ray, regional president for PNC Bank, a sponsoring organization
  • Shondra Lynch, trustee for John Ullrich Foundation, a sponsoring organization

WHERE: Interior of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, 212 N. Sixth St., Springfield, Ill.

WHEN: 10 a.m., Friday, March 23.

WHY: See the exhibit up close, interview the experts about how it was put together and get video, audio and photographs of the premier museum exhibit of the Illinois Bicentennial.
