Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library Hosts Guided Architectural Walks

Effingham Public Library is pleased to offer a guided architectural tour of Downtown Effingham.  Phil Lewis, local historian will lead the walks on Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m. and Tuesday June 13 at 6 p.m.  The walks last approximately one hour and cover the architectural history of 7 downtown buildings:

1.      The Effingham County Courthouse (Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum)

2.      The Zone

3.      Bike and Hike

4.      Village Wine and Gifts

5.      China Express

6.      State Farm Insurance

7.      Heart Theatre

Registration is required.

Anyone who is unable to attend either of the guided walks is encouraged to take the cell phone architectural tour of Downtown Effingham. The cell phone tour begins at the Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum, by calling:  217- 239-9905 on a cell phone and then following the instructions.
