I EFFINGHAM COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY TO HOST ANNUAL MARDI GRAS GALA

The pets in residence at the Effingham County Humane Society invite you to attend our Annual Charity Fundraising Event the Mardi Gras Gala Friday, March 24, 2017 at Effingham Knights of Columbus Building.

The event will Feature a Cajun-style buffet with jambalaya, southern fried chicken, Cajun salmon cakes, Creole coleslaw, mac and cheese, Cajun green beans, cornbread, and homemade New Orleans Desserts!

Live music will be provided, silent auctions, raffles, and drawings will complete the evening’s entertainment.

Festivities will begin with social hour and hors d'oeuvres at 5:30pm with dinner served at 7pm.  Tickets can be purchased for $25 per person by March 23.  After March 23 or at the door tickets will be $30 per person.

Opportunities for sponsorship include Jazz Cat for $150 which includes 2 dinner tickets and recognition in the Mardi Gras Gala event brochure; Cajun Canine for $250 which includes 2 dinners with their sponsorship sign or logo prominently displayed; King Creole for $500 which includes the business sign and 8 dinner tickets at a reserved table; and French Quarter Royale for $1,000 which includes a prominently displayed business sign and 8 dinner tickets at a reserved table.  All sponsorships will be recognized in the event program.  Those who cannot attend can become “Guardian Angels” of the shelter with donation in any amount.

This event is a major fundraiser for Effingham County Humane Society, which is supported entirely by contributions from individuals, businesses, and charitable-minded groups and trusts.  Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for veterinary care, food, and shelter for dogs and cats from Effingham County awaiting their “forever homes.”

The Effingham County Humane Society has been serving Effingham County since 1979 and is located at 12073 N 1000th Road, Effingham (former Funkhouser School).  It receives no government funding and is not associated with any national animal organization.  ECHS is a 501(c)3 organization, and all gifts are tax deductible.  Pets for adoption can be viewed at www.effingham.petfinder.com, and upcoming events are noted on the ECHS Facebook page at facebook.com/effinghamcountyhumanesociety  .  We hope you will join the fun!  Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler
