ASHMORE ESTATES 1OO YEAR BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY On September 9th the former Coles County Poor Farm will start a weekend celebration of reaching 100 years old. The original corner stone was set in April of 2016 and the building completed in September of 2016. It was used up until 1959 as basically a poor farm. It was then purchased by Ashmore Estates, Inc and became a private pyschiatric care facility. Through the years it has been through different owners and not much was done with the property. In May of 2014 Robbin & Norma Terry purchased the property and with the help of friends and paranormal investigators the property has been cleaned up and the eyesore on the hill is gone.

During the weekend of the 9th - 11th the event will feature many paranormal TV celebrities such as Brad & Barry Klinge from Ghost Lab, Ben Hansen from Fact or Faked Paranormal Files, Christopher Booth from SYFY TV & Destination America, Keith Age, from SYFY TV, Rosalyn Bown from Ghost Hunters Academy, Bill Chapell from Ghost Adventures, Scott Tepperman from Ghost Hunters International, Jim O'Rear one of the original Hollywood Ghost Hunters.
