One to Hospital After Weekend Crash

One person was taken to the hospital after a weekend crash in Effingham.

City police say the crash occurred at 12:15am Sunday at 3rd and Fayette.  A vehicle driven by 19-year-old Cassidy Awalt of Effingham pulled into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Christine Steidl of Altamont.  

Steidl was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Awalt was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
